Ralph Burgess

Today is a very solemn day for me and my family. It is Holy Thursday in which we recognize and celebrate the last supper, but also we must lay an amazing man to rest.

I love you Ralph, and I am so glad you are back with Aunt Jane. We will miss you greatly.

Burgess, Sr., Ralph Age 90, passed away on April 18, 2011 in Carrollton, TX. Born March 24, 1921 to Jules and Annie Burgess in Dallas, TX. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 62 years, Dorothy Jane Burgess. He is survived by his children, Jerri Anne Hammons of Alvarado, TX, Sue Clayton of New Port News, VA, Bo Burgess of Salado, TX and Clarlee Lawry of Grapevine, TX. Ralph is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Craig of Austin, TX and Pauline Johnson of Carrollton, TX, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Burgess was a life long resident of Carrollton, TX and worked for Ford Motor Co. for over 32 years. He also proudly served in the United States Navy from 1942-1945. Ralph took great pride in serving his community and held many roles including Charter Member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, President of the Carrollton Little League Baseball Association from 1962 - 1975 and was a volunteer for the Carrollton Fire Dept. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 4-20-2011 from 7-9 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, 4-21-2011 at 1 pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, TX.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm Loving how busy it is at my office, Assurance Screening, we are rocking out new clients and it is awesome!

I'm Loving how my little girl wants to hold her own bottle now, she is getting so big!

I'm Loving I am only 12 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight!
I'm Loving my husband and I had out first night out since Mary was born!

I'm Loving that this weekend is Easter and we get to celebrate Mary's first with our Family, she will be wearign these two dresses, one for Easter Vigil on Saturday and the other on Easter Sunday.

1. I am loving that my last day with my current job is Friday and I start a new chapter in my life on Monday with a new company

2. I am loving watching how fast my little girl is growing, she is getting so big so fast!

3. I'm loving that I have set my weight loss goal for this year to lose the baby weight and then some! I can not wait to get this body back, if not better!

Its Been a While, And its a New Year

I know its been a while since I have posted, but there has just been so much that is going on. My little angel is growing like a weed. Sometimes I wish I could just slow down time. She turned 2 months old and got her first round of shots. It really broke my heart when she started to cry. Mary is also sleeping through the nights now from about 9:00 pm to 4:00 am. I can not believe how well she does sleeping in her own bassinet.

Another big thing that is happening, I am starting a new job on January 17, 2010. I gave my notice at my current company because the amount of hours I spent working over Christmas and New Years was not fair to my daughter. Although I have been on-call with this company for more than 3 years, it is no longer symmetrical to my family life for me to continue it. I will be working a straight 9-5 M-F job and could not be happier about it

On another note, I have set my weight loss goal for this year. I want to lose a total of 55 lbs. 25 of that is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, the other 30 is to get the body back I had (if not better) when we went to Destin for my sisters wedding. I will be working out with our new Xbox Kinect (although I have not decided which program to use) and doing cardio on the treadmill at the gym.

A Great Deal and Some Catch Up

Its been a long time since I have posted and I know there is alot to catch every one up on. I got put on bed rest 5 weeks before my due date on October 13th due to swelling in my legs and feet and high blood pressure. I was on bed rest for only 2 weeks when I woke up the morning of October 27th 2010 and realized my water broke. At 8 am that day we headed to the hospital. My gorgeous Angel, Mary Leigh Alston, was born at 6:52 pm that day. She was three weeks early, but she is perfectly healthy.

I ordered my birth announcements from Shutterfly. They have such amazing cards and designs. The process was so easy to upload my photos to design and order I know I am going to use them for our 2010 Christmas Cards. They are super I haven't decided whether or not I want to do a folder card or a post card style card this year. One thing is for sure, Mary will be the STAR of our Christmas cards this year.

The coolest part about this is Shutterfly is giving away 50 of their 2010 holiday cards to bloggers this year. This not only makes them one of my favorite places to store photos online, but also my choice for ordering photos and cards now! The entire website is so easy to use, I look forward to using them for more photo items and gifts as well, since I have a new little star to take many photos of!!!

Belly Bump Picture Time

I have been getting Razzed a little bit for not posting belly pics. I figured I would put a couple on here as well as update every one on the baby. All is going well and we went in for an appointment today. Mary is doing well with her heart rate at 155. Mom is good too! Doctor said her head is down and that she is very low, which we already knew. I have been carrying her low since I got pregnant. In theory we have 10 weeks to go until she gets here. I am so blessed with all the family and friends that I have, I have 3 baby showers over the next month. One for family, one for friends, and one at work. God has blessed me more than I could ever ask. Well that is all for now. Please enjoy the belly pics below.
