Got the Mom Car

Just a quick note on a new addition to the family. I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to jinx myself. We were looking at getting me a new car. God works in mysterious ways is all I can say. I now have a 2008 Ford Escape XLT. I feel so much safe driving it and I LOVE IT! I guess some people would call it my "Mom Car", but I still feel hot driving it! Here are some pictures. A special thanks to my amazing husband.

Mary's Chic Nursery

Well I am still in the process of working on getting Mary's Nursery ready. I finally ordered the bedding yesterday. I decided to have it custom made because I couldn't find anything I liked in the stores. All of you that know me, know that I am not the pastel room type of person. I have decided to go with Black and White bedding for the crib. It fits perfectly with my inspiration room below. I have even found light switch and outlet covers that are done decoupage style in the same fabric as my bedding. I have included the photos below for your imagination! I should hopefully have all of the bedding by late September. I found a wonderful lady on Etsy (which is my new favorite site) who has worked with me the last 2 weeks to get the design finalized. I cant wait to see the finished product, and I can wait to show it to you! Have a great day!

Feeling Pregnant

Lately I have been feeling more and more pregnant. I had to make a promise to my husband this weekend. I promised I would take one day to be lazy and not do ANYTHING. Now, to most people this would be easy, for me, not so much. Ever since I found out I was pregnant with Mary, and even more so in the second trimester, I have been going going going. I am constantly cleaning, getting ready for Mary, and tons of other things. I haven't really taken any time for myself. So I attempted to do nothing on Saturday. This didn't work out the way that I planned it to. I ended up cleaning the house while Zac was at work. I just couldn't not pick up the house. You never know who will stop by. When Zac got home I did get in a bit of trouble for that, but he was the one who started the whole "You never know who will stop by!". I then promised I would rest on Sunday. It's the Lords day of rest anyway. I actually  managed to do little to nothing on Sunday. I even took a nap before getting ready for Mass! Soooo, goal accomplished!

Speaking of Mass, Zac and I discovered there is a Catholic Church less than a mile from our house. We have been driving to the other side of town since we moved into our home for church. We decided this weekend to go check out the Church on Sunday for their 5:30 Mass. This was a little different than what we are use to. The Mass we attend at our regular Parish is more of a traditional lay out. Ya know, pipe organ, choir and all that jazz. Well the 5:30 Mass at the Parish on Sundays by our house is a Praise and Worship Mass. It still follows the regular flow of Mass with one small change. They use guitars, drums, and a couple of singers. We still sang the same Psalms, but with a more upbeat tempo. It was definitely interesting and I liked it. All the people were very friendly. Not so sure how Zac was with the Praise and Worship since he is more traditional in that aspect. We are going to attend the more traditional Mass this week with my in-laws at 5:00 to see what it is like. Afterwards I think we are taking our nephew to a water park  in McKinney, so look for pictures then!  That is all for now.

Mom's Tiny Kicker

Seeing as how I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, I decided to see if there were any Dallas Cowboys maternity shirts out there. It only seems appropriate since Mary will be born in the middle of football season! I came across this little number. I absolutely LOVE IT! Now, whether or not I will be able to talk myself into buying it is a whole different story. Either way I figured I would share it with you. The shirt says "Mom's Tiny Kicker"

Nolan Ryan to Own Texas Rangers!!!!

I was extremely relieved when I woke up this morning to hear that Nolan Ryan won the bid to own the Texas Rangers. Thank you LORD!!!! Just had to share how excited I was!! Lets see if the Rangers can keep them selves in the Pennant Race!

Everything is New

I guess I decided to start a blog because every one else is doing it?  I know that is a horrible reason, Right?! But I do seem to find it as a good way to keep in touch and let family friends know how I am doing. I am currently 25 weeks, 3 days pregnant, and every one always wants to know "Hows it going?". My pregnancy has been the easiest I have ever seen out of all my family and friends. I have never been sick, no major problems and all in all haven't gained that much weight. So, I cant complain. My husband cracks me up sometimes when I will get in trouble for doing to much or not taking a break. I know it is only because he cares and he wants me to continue an easy pregnancy. We have gotten quite a bit done already for the arrival of Ms. Mary Leigh. We have gotten the room painted and the furniture in. The color of the room is Pink Burst from Lowes by Valspar, and the furniture is the Peyton Collection by Bonavita from BuyBuy Baby.
I am so excited to keep working on the nursery and designing it to my own taste. I will be making the bedding and curtains as I do not like anything I have seen out on the market right now, nor do I want to pay the price of what others want for custom bedding. At least this way I know the nursery will be by "Mom" with love!

Well that's all for now. I will be back later to keep you up to date on my daily doings and nuttiness as long as Pregnesia doesn't set it and I forget. Have a GREAT day!
