A Little Catching Up

I know it has been a while since my last post. I apologize for that. Things can be a little hectic with a little one and work. Just a few quick updates, Mary turned 7 months old last week. I feel like time is just flying by. She is taking steps with me holding her hands, she is drinking from a sippy cup for juice, and she now knows to say "Baba" when she is hungry. She is such a smart little girl. It almost scares me sometimes.

Last week I came home to find our neighbors dog had broken off his lead and broke our fence as well as dug a few holes in our yard trying to escape. Now, this is a sweet dog, so I place no blame on him. I do how ever hold the owners responsible and expect them to properly repair the fence as well as the holes. They leave this poor dog outside all the time. I mean all day and night. They give him no attention. I saw this first hand when I went over there to advise what had happened. Some people do not need pets.

Needless to say I was not in the best of moods.

On another note, Zac and I are joining a new gym this week. I will be posting here to keep track of my progress. I have a goal of 38 lbs to lose. I am hoping by eating better and working out I will be able to get my figure back the way it was a couple of years ago. Other than that there is not much going on in my world, we relaxed and didn't do a thing this weekend, which was nice. We just watched TV and played with Mary.

That is all for today! Hope every one had a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Book Club Friday - Dead Reckoning

It's Book Club Friday and I am linking up with Megan to share my book with ya'll!

This week I got my Mothers Day gift in the mail. My husband got me a 64GB Ipad2. He is the greatest!

I decided instead of using the Apple App iBooks, I would use Amazon Kindle for Ipad, just so i can switch between reading on my phone and on my Ipad2.

My first book to read on my lovely new toy will be Dead Reckoning, A Sookie Stackhouse Novel.

I am in love with the writings of Charlaine Harris and cannot wait to get started on this one, I waited to get the book just so I could get it for my Ipad. this is the first digital book I have ever downloaded. I read all the books before True Blood came on HBO and now I am a full blown TRUBIE! Can't wait for the new season to start!

Thats all for today! Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

Texas Rangers Game May 14, 2011

This weekend Zac and I enjoyed a nice day at the Ballpark In Arlington with our good friends James and Gloria. Although the Rangers lost, we still had a great time. Here are a few pictures from our outing. Zac wore his new Josh Hamilton Jersey his family and I got him for his birthday, and I wore my new Texas Rangers "Chicks Dig Diamonds".

Hope Every One Had a Great Weekend!!!

What I'm Loving Wednesdays

I am linking up with Jamie for What I am loving Wednesday

1. I am loving that my last day with my current job is Friday and I start a new chapter in my life on Monday with a new company

2. I am loving watching how fast my little girl is growing, she is getting so big so fast!

3. I'm loving that I have set my weight loss goal for this year to lose the baby weight and then some! I can not wait to get this body back, if not better!

Thats what I am LOVING this Wednesday!

.

Its Been a While, And its a New Year

I know its been a while since I have posted, but there has just been so much that is going on. My little angel is growing like a weed. Sometimes I wish I could just slow down time. She turned 2 months old and got her first round of shots. It really broke my heart when she started to cry. Mary is also sleeping through the nights now from about 9:00 pm to 4:00 am. I can not believe how well she does sleeping in her own bassinet.

Another big thing that is happening, I am starting a new job on January 17, 2010. I gave my notice at my current company because the amount of hours I spent working over Christmas and New Years was not fair to my daughter. Although I have been on-call with this company for more than 3 years, it is no longer symmetrical to my family life for me to continue it. I will be working a straight 9-5 M-F job and could not be happier about it

On another note, I have set my weight loss goal for this year. I want to lose a total of 55 lbs. 25 of that is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, the other 30 is to get the body back I had (if not better) when we went to Destin for my sisters wedding. I will be working out with our new Xbox Kinect (although I have not decided which program to use) and doing cardio on the treadmill at the gym.

That is all for now, I will be posting new pictures from this year shortly.
